KACCAD is a community based organization with two full-time paid staff and many full-time and part-time volunteer staff. Primary staff members live in Wakiso district, and other volunteers live in the USA, UK, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, and Ireland. We truly are TOGETHER AS ONE!
The Board of Directors is made up of five people including the Executive Director, Derrick Luwaga. The Executive Director is overseen by the Board of Directors. In turn, the Executive Director oversees and works hand in hand with the organization’s volunteer staff. He is responsible for day to day management and decision making as well as keeping in close touch with all development partners.
The KACCAD group works as a team to undertake projects’ activities with staff members taking on several related roles such as financial management, proposal writing and community outreach. A small staff leads to efficiency and flexibility in decision-making and action. Decisions are primarily made by the volunteer staff and Executive Director through a transparent and professional consensus process. The Board of Directors is called on if the staff of the organization is unable to come to consensus or if the staff needs other support.
